Hotel Punta Ala
Punta Ala is a fraction of the town of Castiglione della Pescaia in the province of Grosseto. It is a popular seaside resort situated on the northern slopes of the headland.
Called Punta Troia, was the great Italian aviator Italo Balbo, who had bought some fortifications and villas in the area and then became his residences, to change the name in Punta Ala, drawing it from the aviation jargon.
A modern tourist center has developed during the twentieth century, particularly in the seventies.
The resort is renowned for its well-equipped marina and sailing regattas are organized by the local “Yacht Club Punta Ala, ” the cradle of Luna Rossa.
The site is an elite tourist destination in every season, thanks to its luxury residences, second homes and boats moored at the port.
