Excursions to Follonica

Follonica is the ideal starting point for excursions inland and along the coast of Maremma: from the Elba Island to Argentario.

Short distance from the coast, you can visit wonderful towns of ancient origins in which time seems to be stopped in the middle ages. For example: Gavorrano, Massa Marittima and Campiglia Marittima, located just 20 km from the hotel. A trip towards this localities it’s the perfect occasion to taste the specialties of the territory as wine and oil and enjoy a breathtaking landscape over the sea and the countryside.

From Follonica you can easily reach the boarding points of Piombino, Scarlino and Castiglione della Pescaia from which you can depart to discover the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.
Almost everyday are organized boat trips to Elba and mini-cruises along the coast of Maremma with a few stops to let people enjoy the crystal clear water. Besides the major island and beaches, the tours arrive even in the smaller islands of Cerboli and Palmaiola that have nothing to envy the most famous ones.
