Grey Cat Jazz Festival
Among the most famous event of the italian jazz panorama, the Grey Cat Jazz Festival is the most appreciated musical event of the summer in Follonica. Every year in August the festival resounds in some of the most suggestive locations of the nearby towns and surroundings: the Open Air Theater Le Ferriere of Follonica, the Castle of Scarlino, the Rocks Theater of Gavorrano, the Stone Park of Roselle, the main square of Massa Marittima, the Cassero Senese of Grosseto.
A security for jazz lovers and good music lovers, every edition of the festival brings on stage international artists known as some of the best musicians and voices of contemporary jazz music. Took part to the event artists as Dianne Reeves, piano players as Brad Mehldau, drum players as Manu Katchè and for italian jazz Enrico Pierannunzi, Gabriele Mirabassi, Rosario Bonaccorso and Bobo Rondelli.
The scheduled music events of the Grey Cat Jazz Festival are enriched by side events linked to art and photography, museum promotions, exhibitions and tastings of typical products of the territory.
